Out of Capetown

Wine Tastings

Cape Town has over 140 wineries just outside its gates. Fantastic facilities that impress in design, architecture and fauna. One of my highlights is the chic Delaire Graff Estate.

Blauwklippen

This vineyard is located just a few kilometers south of Stellenbosch. On Sundays, there is a family market.

Babylonstoren

This is a green oasis and a true luxury wine farm. For hours you can walk through the orchard and vegetable garden, you can get lost in the huge green areas, discover water lily patches and cactus fields. For lunch, it is worthwhile to stop at the Greenhouse. Everything on your plate (or your glass) comes freshly harvested from the garden.

Drakenstein Lions Park
Even if the biographies of the lions are deeply depressing, it´s more than worth to stop for a visit here.

Tragical stories
Particularly circus lions from Europe live in this park. With a lot of help and efforts of private persons, they found a refuge under the South African sun.
